| "What sets a canoeing expedition apart is that it purifies you more rapidly and inescapably than any other travel. Travel a thousand miles by train and you are a brute; pedal five hundred on a bicycle and you remain basically a bourgeois; paddle a hundred in a canoe and you are already a child of nature" Pierre Elliott Trudeau |

The Canoe |
|
| Scotland's lochs and rivers lend themselves to exploration by canoe, upstream, downstream, across expanses of open water and portage over land to link waterways and discover wild places, get close to wildlife and become one with the natural environment. The canoes we use are the descendents in modern materials of the birchbark boats of North America. These boats were used as a means of transport and trade by indigenous people, trappers and fur traders who travelled thousands of kilometres in these versatile craft. | |
| We provide a series of fully outfitted and guided canoe journeys to access some of the best wild areas of Scotland. | |
| All of our guides are nationally qualified canoe coaches and mountain leaders and work to Leave No Trace principles. | |
