Our Staff

Adventure Scotland started life in 1998 as a consortium of adventure activity providers. We were drawn together by common interest, a respect for each other’s skills and a commitment to a quality service. We all believed that what we did was in some way special –a belief we still hold.

Every member of our team is actively passionate about the outdoors and they are inspired by the activities, the environment and the people we work with.

Dave Latham is one of the founder members of Adventure Scotland and now divides his time between coaching, working on development training courses and living on his croft in the depths of Aberdeenshire.

Dave is a British Canoe Union Level 5 Coach, BCU White Water Safety & Rescue Trainer, BASI qualified Nordic & Telemark Ski Instructor and Mountain Leader.

Dave takes imagination and creativity to his coaching and to the many corporate events he has organised over the years.

Hidden in his past are a First Class Honours degree in Psychology (B.Sc.) and a postgraduate degree in Logic (M.Sc). He has also worked as a Drilling Engineer managing wellsite operations for an international oil company.

Dave brings all of this academic, industrial and outdoor experience together for his work on development, leadership and team training courses. Plus a fine sense of the absurd!
